I sat by the window most of the weekend. SHE was busy talking about the children she met at Tackan Elementary school. Wow! They sounded fantastic. SHE was out today preparing for a friend's wedding. I never get invited to weddings!!!! I would make a outstanding guest.....A cat can dare to dream.

The calendar says that it is Spring, but I think differently. From my window, I can see everyone rushing to the train bundled up for winter. I am so glad I am watching the cold people from my warm, cozy window seat, which is right above the heater. Watching all the people makes me sleepy........a nap is a good idea.

I traveled to Vermont this weekend. It was so much fun. I spent a great deal of my visit perched on top of the red couch overlooking the mountain. I watched the skiers fly by and was tempted to put on a pair myself. I see myself more as a snowboarder than a skier. The whole adventure made me very sleepy. I am happy to be home!!!

Well, SHE was at it again today. SHE surprised her nephew, Nicholas, with a visit to his third grade class. His teacher, Ms. Pobner, secretly arranged the visit. SHE told me the children were full of ideas for her next book. I wish I could have gone along, but the car ride would have made me very sleepy....typing makes me sleepy.....off to rest on my yellow chair and snuggle with Mousey!

The month has started out and SHE is off and running. Today SHE read to the all the second graders at Birch Lane Elementary School in Massapequa, NY. SHE told me the children were so well behaved and everyone raised their hands. I try to raise my hand, but I get so sleepy. I think I need to go rest on my blanket!

SHE called last night from California to tell me about the wonderful children of Castille Elementary School in Mission Viejo, CA. SHE reported that "Thing 1" in Mrs. Smith's class was really fun. I so wish I could have met all the lovely students, but I don not travel on planes. I am home looking at so much snow outside. Perhaps I should call a friend and go for a sleigh ride?
