Well, SHE just got home, covered in snow! I managed to stay nice and toasty today. SHE had just come from School #8 in Oceanside. SHE said the children were such good listeners and asked the most amazing questions. I so wish I could have visited, but I am too tired from my birthday celebration.

Did you see that 100 yard return by the Steelers? I was exhausted just watching it with all my friends. SHE had many people at the house for a belated birthday celebration for me and a Super Bowl party. Everyone sang Happy Birthday to me. It was very special. I was hoping the Cardinals would win because I do like birds! I must rest on the comfy yellow chair......I had a busy weekend!

I feel older today! Yesterday was my birthday. There were presents and a party. I am extra sleepy today, but it was all worth it! Thank you to everyone who wished me a Happy Birthday! I also want to thank the children of Old Mill Elementary School in North Merrick for listening to my story!

Preparations have begun for my birthday celebration on Sunday. Party favors were ordered, family was invited, and decorations have been purchased. It is almost too much to handle. I can't believe I am going to be 2! Where have the years gone? This excitement has made me sleepy. I must go rest by the fire!

January is such a cold month. I try to sit by the window, but there is a chill in the air. SHE has started to use the fireplace which I find most fascinating! It is so hot and colorful. SHE is preparing for a visit to the Jefferson Elementary School in Huntington, NY this week. I so wish I could go, but I don't travel well in cars!

Well, the tree is down. My days of resting under the warm lights will have to wait until next year. I do miss munching on the branches...very tasty. All the other decorations are down as well and life is back to normal. All this talk makes me very sleepy....Off to the yellow chair.
